Shred Day

LGE's Shred Day 2017

Keeping your identity safe has never been more important, nor more difficult. That is why LGE is offering 2 free Shred Day events to our members this year. One event will be held at the Marietta branch* (430 Commerce Park Drive), while another event will be held at the Acworth branch (3891 Cobb Parkway). Both events will occur on Saturday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Members will have the opportunity to securely shred and dispose of documents that contain sensitive information. A professional shred truck will collect and shred the documents on the premises. It’s a quick, easy, and safe way to get rid of your personal documents, such as old tax returns and financial statements, that you may not want to place in the recycle bin.

In conjunction with Shred Day, we will also be holding a Food Drive for local food pantries. We will accept donations of non-perishable and unexpired food items at either Shred Day event.

To ensure we have enough room in the shred truck, we are limiting the amount of items to be shredded to 5 average-sized boxes/bags per vehicle. Empty boxes/bags cannot be left behind.

Acceptable items to be shredded are paper, paper clips, staples, binder clips, and hanging file folders; no cardboard boxes, plastic, binders, batteries, electronics, wood, trash, or any other materials that might damage a shredder.
