Edwin J. Collins, President and Chief Executive Officer of LGE – Collins has overall responsibility for operations of LGE. Collins joined the Credit Union in 1984 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and in 1995 was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer. Collins began his career in 1964 working in various positions for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). In 1983, Collins resigned from the role of division director with NCUA. He has served on the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Committee, the Renaissance Committee and the Communications and Information Committee of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). Collins has also served as Chairman of SWIRL, L.L.C., a limited partnership which owns four service centers in the state of Georgia, as well as Cooperative Service Inc., a statewide Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) that processes 95% of all share draft clearings for credit unions of Georgia.

Richard W. Hampton, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of LGE – Hampton is responsible for overseeing the operation of all eight LGE branch offices, Facilities Management, the Lending Department, and the Human Resources Department. Hampton began his career with the Credit Union in 1968 as a loan officer. From 1968 to 1984, he held various positions within LGE, including Supervisor and Assistant Manager. In 1984 he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, which he remains today. With over 35 years of service, Hampton has been employed by the Credit Union longer than any other employee to date.

Chris A. Leggett, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of LGE – Leggett is responsible for the financial performance of the Credit Union as well as the Credit Union’s investment portfolio, ALM, accounting, information technology, electronic and member services, credit card processing, compliance and marketing. Leggett began his credit union career with First Florida Credit Union in Jacksonville, Florida, serving in various capacities including Vice President of Branch Operations and CFO. He also worked at PSCU-Financial Services, the largest CUSO in the country, as Director of National Sales. More recently, he was the President/CEO of First Coast Community Credit Union. Leggett currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of Credit Union 24, Inc., a nationwide ATM network.
